Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced its financial summary for the 2019 fiscal year. VEDA approved 231 new loans, providing $87.9 million in financing assistance to Vermont entrepreneurs, manufacturers, small businesses, and agricultural enterprises.

Shippee, now retired, worked at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for 37 years, serving as Community and Business Program Director of USDA Rural Development for Vermont and New Hampshire.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) approved over $15 million in financing for Vermont businesses between April 1 and June 30, 2019. The approved financing will support the growth and development of businesses and farms across the state, create new jobs, and improve Vermont’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced that Cassie Polhemus has been named the Authority's new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2019. Polhemus is the current Chief Operating Officer at VEDA and joined the Authority in 2013 as a Commercial Lender. She will succeed Jo Bradley, who has served as VEDA's CEO since 1997 and is retiring on March 31st.
