Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) named Thaddeus Richardson as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 20, 2020. In this role, he has broad responsibility for the Authority’s financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, forecasting and overall asset and liability management.

The new financing includes continued investment in Vermont’s small business sector, the first approval for VEDA’s Broadband Expansion Loan Program, and an exciting new business accelerator project in the Northeast Kingdom.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced its financial summary for the 2019 fiscal year. VEDA approved 231 new loans, providing $87.9 million in financing assistance to Vermont entrepreneurs, manufacturers, small businesses, and agricultural enterprises.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) approved over $25 million in loans for Vermont enterprises between July 1 and September 30, 2019. That total exceeds the previous quarter’s approval volume by $10 million.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced Andrea Gagner has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Gagner is the Chief Executive Officer of 14th Star Brewing Company in St. Albans.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced Rhonda Shippee has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Shippee, now retired, worked at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for 37 years, serving as Community and Business Program Director of USDA Rural Development for Vermont and New Hampshire.
