Director of communications

Vermont Economic Development Authority is seeking a seasoned communications leader to direct and implement its strategic communications, public relations, marketing, and outreach efforts. Reporting to the CEO and senior management, the Director of Communications will oversee media relations, content creation, branding, market research, and stakeholder engagement. The role also involves advising on legislative and policy initiatives and supporting the Authority’s strategic goals through effective storytelling and public engagement. Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years of experience in communications, strong digital proficiency, and a deep understanding of marketing, public relations, and audience engagement strategies. This is a hybrid position with travel across Vermont.
