Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) has named Peter Samson its Chief Lending Officer (CLO), effective July 1, 2019. He will lead the Authority’s Commercial, Agricultural and Loan Resolution lending departments.

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced that Cassie Polhemus has been named the Authority's new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2019. Polhemus is the current Chief Operating Officer at VEDA and joined the Authority in 2013 as a Commercial Lender. She will succeed Jo Bradley, who has served as VEDA's CEO since 1997 and is retiring on March 31st. 

Montpelier, VT – The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) approved $8.3 million in financing to support manufacturing, agricultural and small business projects totaling $26 million throughout the state.

Montpelier, VT – During the most recent quarter, the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) approved $5.1 million in financing to support commercial, agricultural, small business and energy development projects throughout Vermont. 

South Burlington, VT– In FY 2018, VEDA closed a record number of financings – a total of $167.8 million. This amount is 1.8x the largest previous annual volume in the Authority’s history.  The amount of private capital leveraged in the projects financed was $93.3 million.
