Two Open Positions

Vermont Economic Development Authority has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional, with relevant experience, to join its team as a Credit Analyst.  The work location can be in VEDA’s Burlington, Montpelier, or Middlebury offices and some remote work may be available after an initial period.  This position reports directly to the Director of Credit.
 
VEDA provides financing to businesses and farms across Vermont, often in partnership with private financial institutions and government agencies.  This position is responsible for analyzing borrower and potential borrower credit and providing support for loan origination and loan servicing actions.  Primary responsibilities include reviewing loan applications, preparing loan narratives/credit write-ups and keeping borrower financial information current.

Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years or more of commercial credit analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business, or related field.  VEDA offers a competitive salary range of $54,000 - $86,400 for a Credit Analyst position and $58,500 - $93,600 for a Senior Credit Analyst position.  


Vermont Economic Development Authority is seeking a Loan Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to one or more Loan Officers and lending management under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer. This position will be based out of our Middlebury or Montpelier, VT offices.

This job has a wide variety of responsibilities and will reward the right candidate with a breadth of experience within a non-profit, mission-oriented workplace.  Job responsibilities include reviewing new loan applications and ordering necessary supporting documents, performing initial set-up and ongoing maintenance of customer relationships in the core loan system and document retention systems, and generally, assisting Loan Officers as needed.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or at least 3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with business and personal financial statements, comfortable using Microsoft Office software, good written and verbal communication skills and work well as part of a team. VEDA offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $72,000 and an excellent benefits package.
