Two Open Positions

Vermont Economic Development Authority has an immediate opening for a motivated professional to fill the position of Executive and Office Assistant. This on-site position is based out of the Montpelier office and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

This position has responsibility for a wide range of administrative and managerial support duties. It requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has responsibility for physical office administrative duties. This is a key position requiring strong judgement and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential information, interact directly with Board Members, and maintain the highest professional standards. This position assists the CEO, Director of Communications, and the Executive leadership team.

Preferred candidates will have an associate degree or higher, 3-5 years of experience in mid- to senior-level administration, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and prioritization skills, and proficient computer skills. The successful candidate will be self-directed and able to work without supervision. VEDA offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $96,000 and an excellent benefits package for this job position.


Vermont Economic Development Authority is seeking a Loan Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to one or more Loan Officers and lending management under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer. This position will be based out of our Middlebury or Montpelier, VT offices.

This job has a wide variety of responsibilities and will reward the right candidate with a breadth of experience within a non-profit, mission-oriented workplace.  Job responsibilities include reviewing new loan applications and ordering necessary supporting documents, performing initial set-up and ongoing maintenance of customer relationships in the core loan system and document retention systems, and generally, assisting Loan Officers as needed.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or at least 3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with business and personal financial statements, comfortable using Microsoft Office software, good written and verbal communication skills and work well as part of a team. VEDA offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $72,000 and an excellent benefits package.
