Marie joined VEDA in January, 1994 as a Commercial Loan Officer, a position she still holds. In l995, she also became responsible for VEDA’s International Trade Finance Programs. Prior to joining VEDA, Marie spent eighteen years in the Vermont banking industry, holding various positions in Commercial Lending and Management.
Marie attended Champlain College, and graduated from the ABA Commercial Lending Graduate School at the University of Oklahoma and the New England School of Banking at Williams College. She also attended the Northern New England School of Banking at the University of New Hampshire, and has completed certification programs with the Bank Administration Institute, and extensive training with Ex-Im Bank in Washington, D.C. in International Trade Finance. In 2007, she graduated from the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Champlain Program.
In 2000, Marie was named the U.S. Small Business Administration's Financial Services Advocate of the Year.
