Franklin County Industrial CorporationLocal Development Corporation Loan Program
The St. Albans Town Industrial Park was created by Franklin County Industrial Development Corporation (FCIDC) and St. Albans Town in 1972 with the purchase of 82 acres. The Park was expanded in 1986 and again in 1991. The Park is home to several outstanding companies such as Ben & Jerry's, Superior Technical Ceramics, Peerless Clothing, Med Associates, Mylan Technologies, Vermont Transformers, Teknor Apex and Barry Callebaut.
FCIDC recently purchased an additional 93 acres, which will allow for eight additional lots. This purchase was made possible with financial assistance from the Peoples Trust Company and VEDA's Subchapter 3 Program.
Aggregate employment in the Park, which is currently at capacity, now exceeds 1,000 employees.
