Olivia’s Crouton Company, Inc.Direct Loan Program
Olivia’s Crouton Company, Inc. was started in April 1991 by Francie Caccavo in the kitchen of her home after realizing that really good croutons were not available in conventional retail markets. By 2005, Olivia’s had outgrown its manufacturing facility in Hinesburg, and Francie and her husband, David, who also devotes himself full-time to Olivia’s, found their dream property in New Haven. National Bank of Middlebury (NBM) provided the necessary financing for the purchase of the property, and NBM and VEDA provided financing to renovate and retrofit the barn for Olivia’s production space.
